Ayiwe: The Legend of The Haitian Gods is a fantasy Comic series Set in the small Caribbean island, Haiti. The ancient practice of vodou is deeply woven with Haitian history. The Gods of the Haitian Vodou pantheon are commonly called "Lwas". For some they are nothing else but myths, creations of the Haitian countrymen, but for others they are real beings. Spirits which we can connect to knowing their name, history, rules and ritual code

We will be discovering this unknown world through the eyes of Ayiwe, a young albino boy who's fate and family is intertwined in the machinations of the "Lwas".

This book has been created out of a love for my country, the culture, and the relationship between Haitians and The Legend of the Lwas. Be enveloped by the unexplored, misunderstood, and vast world of Haitian Vodou.

January 12 2010, a devastating earthquake shook the entire country of Haiti, countless lives were lost, many disappeared without leaving a trace, families torn apart. What lasted a few seconds, left damages still felt years later. Was this a natural disaster? Or was there an unknown force causing chaos amongst the Haitian population?

Ayiwe: The legend of the Haitian Gods takes place five years after the earthquake destroyed the country. It follows the adventures of Ayiwe our hero, a young Albino who's life and entire family was destroyed by the disaster, or so we thought. Having nothing to live for and left deeply scarred, lost in a hopeless haze Ayiwe wandered the country, aimless and lost.

Rumors of a ghostly looking person, a "loray kale" suddenly appearing at different prominent Vodou ceremonies began circulating. 


One day after wandering in a Vodou ceremony held at the Artibonit River, He will make a terrifying discovery. The "Lwas" are real and they captured his family. 

His mind made up, he'll rescue his family no matter what. Even if he has to....
